Viscose is an interesting material straddling nature and modern textile processing. Although it is often classified as a synthetic fiber, its origin is purely natural – it is made from regenerated cellulose, i.e., wood pulp, bamboo, or other plant sources. Viscose was developed in Europe at the end of the 19th century as a more affordable alternative to silk and is still valued today for its soft surface, delicate luster, and flowing quality.
