Gum arabic is a natural hydrocolloid of GMO-free botanical origin. The acacia resin has excellent emulsifying and film-forming properties, which makes it suitable for a wide range of applications in the food, confectionery, beverage and cosmetics industries. It also contains more than 85% water-soluble fiber and is a low-calorie polysaccharide. Gum arabic is a safe ingredient for human consumption.
Areas of application for gum arabic are, for example, dessert products, confectionery, dressings or sauces. In soft drinks as well as in wine, gum arabic can act as a natural stabilizer, among other things. In cosmetics it is used as a thickener and texturizer. Gum arabic is used as a film former and coating agent for tablets and capsules.
