Always This Disunity - How Long?
A lecture by the venerable scholar Muhammad Ibn Salih al-'Utaymeen
There is no doubt that the topic of unity cannot be addressed often enough. The Ummah of our beloved Prophet Muhammad, may Allah's blessings and peace be upon him, is far from the example of the first generation of this blessed Ummah, especially in this area. A generation that Allah highlighted in the Quran with the following words: "You are the best Ummah that has been brought forth for mankind..." [Al-Imran 3:110]
Given the current times and circumstances in the Ummah, this lecture has struck us as particularly striking. For some brothers and sisters, disagreement leads to disunity and then to resentment in the heart. However, there are disagreements over which hearts must not be divided. Using ayat from the Book of Allah and hadith from the Sunnah, all of which warn against division in the religion, the scholar proves that the Ummah will never achieve success as long as it remains divided.
Never!
But how should this be understood, and what is the standard for it?
How do I know whether I am right or wrong?
The honorable scholar Muhammad Ibn Salih al-'Utaymîn provides answers.
