Sahih al-Bukhari, also known as al-Jami' asahih, is considered the most authentic work after the Noble Qur'an. The great Imam al-Bukhari—may Allah have mercy on him—compiled the words and deeds of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), adhering to the highest standards of verifiability and accuracy.

However, because the chains of narration are often long and many hadiths are repeated, the learned Imam az-Zabidi undertook the task of simplifying this vast work: He condensed the chains of narration to the respective Companion (Sahabi) who narrated them and removed duplicate narrations.
